Advice from Kerry Washington: Don’t Look At A Scale Too Much

Kerry Washington has one hot body and is not shy when it comes to sharing her secrets. In fact, over the past years, Kerry has told multiple magazines different ways she stays in shapes and the one thing she never does that keeps her confident. In 2007, Kerry told People Magazine,

“In general in life I try to live it, not diet. I think that’s hard when you’re restricting a lot. So I try to take it easy on a daily basis and do what’s going to make me feel good. I love to exercise. I generally exercise every day.”

She also told People Magazine at the time,

“I watch what I eat, I do. My body is really sensitive so I’m very conscious of what I put in my mouth. I try for the most part to eat things that are going to make me feel better, not worse.”

Besides eating the proper food, she also loves getting a workout in. She does everything from pilates to hiking to different dance classes. She admitted to Women’s Health Magazine recently that pilates is her favorite though saying,

NBA Player Rudy Gay Dishes In On His Vision Problems

20130722-182927.jpg We all know when it comes to playing the game of Basketball, the drill is hand/eye coordination. NBA player Rudy Gay dishes in on how his vision affected the way that he played last season. The unbelievable shooting stats that Gay received were 42.5 percent on the floor, 36 percent from midrange, and 33.6 percent from 3 point lead, all a result from his failing vision from his left eye. He admitted, “I did have vision problems. Actually, it was terrible. I could hardly get my license.” Gay had an operation on his eye earlier this summer, which wasn’t a normal operation. He had to patch up his eye and take eye drops, something he really dreaded doing. Sounds painful! Gay adds, “I had to do it. It’s crazy because as much work as I’m putting in working on my shot, if I come back shooting [a better] percent from the three-point line, everybody’s gonna say it’s cause of my vision, not the hard work I’m putting in.” The good thing is, Gay will be returning to the courts next season. Miley Cyrus Poses Nude For “Protect The Skin You’re In” Campaign

If there is anything Miley Cyrus is good at besides twerking, it is getting her “Smilers” to raise money for ANY charity. The most recent charity Miley Cyrus is supporting is Marc Jacobs “Protect The Skin You’re In” Charity. This campaign raises skin cancer awareness and all proceeds go to the NYU Langone Medical Center as well as the NYU Cancer Institution. Many celebrities including the most recent being Miley Cyrus pose nude for this charity. Since 2006, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Watts, Kate Upton, and many others have been big supports. These pictures then get published on t-shirts in which people can buy.

Miley Cyrus’ shirts came out less than a week ago and were released in nine Marc Jacobs’ stores in America and online and have already sold out. Shirts will be available for purchase in Europe in August. Katy Perry Dishes In On Her Prep To Pose For The Cover Of Vogue Mag: No More Beer

No more brewski‘s, well not for Katy Perry that is.

Perry opened up to Jay Leno last Friday regarding her preparation for the July Vogue cover photo spread, saying:

“I did a lot of my own prepping. I kind of went on a cleanse, I did a lot of stuff like vitamins and supplements, I changed my coffee to green tea, I didn’t drink alcohol for three months. I was really in the zone, I just wanted to be glowing for that cover.”

Benefits of multivitamins are that they can assist in improving overall physical and mental health, and lower the risk of illness. It helps people stay healthy and lower their stress levels.

Since Perry also switched from coffee to green tea, the advantage of drinking green tea is that it has plenty of antioxidants. It can also prevent cancer, assist in weight loss, and  promotes heart health. The best benefit that green tea has is that it helps with anti-aging, and protects the skin from wrinkling. A definite plus!

Great job Katy for making some healthy alternatives, your body sure shows that it loves you!

Vh1’s star Derrick Roman aka McKinley Freeman has been getting a lot of attention lately, and it’s not just for his fine acting chops.

The leading male actor on the show “Hit The Floor” has a chiseled physique, similar to a Roman god. If his work ethic on set is anything close to his work ethic in the gym, we have a feeling he is definitely going places.

We caught up with the 6’3, 195 lbs of all muscle Actor yesterday at Crunch gym in Burbank to talk career, the season finale, fitness and being the networks best set of abs.

Check out the exclusive interview below, and McKinley’s two workouts that work the core;

FWF: Congratulations on a successful first season, and being able to do a second season. How does it feel to be casted on such a great show and to have such a great response?

McKinley: From the moment I went to the table read I said ok, this could be something special. And then as we continued to shoot more episodes, and just feeling the family amongst the cast, it has been a really, really amazing experience and the finale is going to be fun, so I’m looking forward to seeing how people respond to it.

FWF: I hear you’re a fitness guru and that you workout a lot.

McKinley: It’s like my second job. I would say I’m more like a mad scientist, I am willing to try just about anything from kickboxing, kettlebells, just anything.

FWF: You play an athlete on TV do you train as hard as one?

McKinley: Preparing for the Hit the Floor, I was boxing, I was doing sprints, I was taking stairs, I was taking yoga. You have to show up ready (for the role).

FWF: Playing an athlete are you ever afraid of working out too hard and getting injured because it could affect your role?

Is that who we think that is? Why yes, it’s Geraldo! Where have you been, seriously?

Taking selfies! There is definitely no shame in his game.

The Fox News Channel host recently took the popular “bathroom selfie” of himself partially nude and later posting it on Twitter, saying:

“70 is the new 50.” He also added: “Erica (wife) and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age..”

The actual 70-year-old Geraldo also said that this pic will land him in hot water. Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Hmmm….We wonder what is he doing to look so good at his age? Looks like he’s been keeping fit. He shouldn’t be found guilty for showing pride of his accomplishments.

You got to admit, his bod doesn’t look like that of a 70-year-old person. Not bad, Geraldo!

New Adidas Shoes: The Springblade Running Shoes

Adidas promises “explosive energy” in the form of 16 blades that’s on the bottom of the shoe. The plastic blades can help propel runners straight upward and release the energy in an angle to help that push according to Mikal Peveto, Adidas America’s Director of Running. The shoes assist with utilizing less energy to push off on the next step.

Peveto believes that althletes that run, or anyone who likes to stay in shape will embrace this shoe the best, because the shoe is a running shoe.

The Springblade will hit stores in August and will be a whopping $180.00! Yep, $180.00! So if you are an athlete that loves to run, this is well worth an investment. Former “Parks and Rec” Star Heckled For Posting Buff Selfie Pic

Former “Park’s and Rec” star Chris Pratt has nothing to worry about, or does he?

He recently took to the Internet by posting a selfie of himself posing his new hot bod and showing duck lips, but didn’t get the exact supportive response that he expected. Instead, his friends made fun of him. Hmmm not so nice, guys!

Pratt dropped his chubby frame and started working out for his new role in the upcoming Marvel film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Yahoo! Interviewed Pratt and his co-star Zoe Saldana at the Comic-Con event in San Diego this weekend, and Zaldana showed support by expressing the positive aspect of his weight loss journey:

“I feel like it would be nothing but inspiring, and encouraging, and empowering for people that are struggling with their weight.”

When Pratt was offered the role he knew that he had to make some dramatic changes, he told Yahoo!:

“I got the role like six months ago, and they were like great job, but you’re too fat. And I was like, ‘alright, I can work on that!”

Believe it or not, Pratt also gave up drinking beer for six months to get that great bod for the role.

Good job giving up the beer gut, Pratt. You look hot!

Julianne Hough’s Struggle To Keep Fit After Dancing With The Stars

You would think that if you we’re Julianne Hough you would not have to worry about your weight, especially with all the dancing she has done. But in reality, after she completed her last season of Dancing With The Stars, Julianne has had a hard time keeping off the weight. Julianne admitted to Women’s Health Magazine that she could eat anything growing up, but that soon changed:

“The minute I hit 22, I stopped dancing and kept eating whatever I wanted, and I gained weight.”

She also went on to say that even though the weight she gained did not affect her personally that much, the media changed that. And just like every person in the spotlight, Julianne has dealt with media negativity.

“I started reading comments in blogs. That freaks you out and you get caught up in it. But if I deprive myself, I end up binge eating. I didn’t want to do that. Now if I want something, I’ll have it and I won’t feel guilty. Then the next day I won’t crave it.”

Just because Julianne like to keep her figure in shape, does not mean she’s obsessed with working out or even likes the gym. Being a dance star does make you a gym rat. Julianne revealed,

“I hate being in the gym, but I love taking Tracy Anderson classes because they’re fun and dance-y.”
