NBA Player Rudy Gay Dishes In On His Vision Problems

20130722-182927.jpg We all know when it comes to playing the game of Basketball, the drill is hand/eye coordination. NBA player Rudy Gay dishes in on how his vision affected the way that he played last season. The unbelievable shooting stats that Gay received were 42.5 percent on the floor, 36 percent from midrange, and 33.6 percent from 3 point lead, all a result from his failing vision from his left eye. He admitted, “I did have vision problems. Actually, it was terrible. I could hardly get my license.” Gay had an operation on his eye earlier this summer, which wasn’t a normal operation. He had to patch up his eye and take eye drops, something he really dreaded doing. Sounds painful! Gay adds, “I had to do it. It’s crazy because as much work as I’m putting in working on my shot, if I come back shooting [a better] percent from the three-point line, everybody’s gonna say it’s cause of my vision, not the hard work I’m putting in.” The good thing is, Gay will be returning to the courts next season. We give a big congrats to him on the bounce back and not giving up! Fitness Correspondent: Hannah Townsley Photo Credit: Google Via Yahoo! Sports
