Prevent Post BBQ Blues With Tips From The Celebs

One thing about the rich and famous, they know how to work hard and play hard too! Holidays are always a fun time, but when you  suddenly step on the scale and your regretting over-undulging at that BBQ, you may say to yourself “it wasn’t really worth it!” To beat the BBQ Blues, we take some tips from some celebrities who know to have a guilt free holiday.


This week we spotted celebs both on the east coast and west coast in their sweats heading for the hills, or the gym putting in some extra time in work before their 4th of July weekend approached.


Kim Kardashian was spotted in NYC hair up, chillen with no make up on leaving the gym with a large bottle of water, in what it looks like rehydrating after an intense workout schedule. The reality star knows the importance of putting in work in the gym, she lost a total of 55lbs pounds since having baby North. She admits, that losing the baby weight was the hardest challenge she has faced in life. Kim explains the type of workouts she likes to do saying;

“I like to mix it up. I do Pilates, Barry’s Bootcamp and hikes with my daughter in the stroller. It’s really hard to push it uphill!”


In addition to her workouts, she adheres to the Atkin diet which consists of High proteins and low carbs. It was rumored that Carbs were banned from her house before her wedding to avoid all temptation. We having a feeling this holiday Kim will stick to the kabobs, and a burger with no bun!


On the other side of the states, Lea michelle was spotted taking a hike by her lonesome thru the Hollywood hills. This actress sure knows how to get her act together, especially when the 4th of July is approaching. She tends to stick to workouts that she enjoys, admitting that being outdoors is where she has the most fuun putting in a sweat;

I love hiking… love being outdoors, I love bike riding. Just stuff that’s fun! 

Contrary to Kim K., Lea Michelle may not be packing on the meats to her plate, She was a vegan for two years. Although she goes back and forth with her vegan lifestlye, she explains her preference of food choice doesn’t depend on an up coming role or holiday, but what her body tells her;

I really feel that you need to kind of listen to your body and what your body is telling you to eat. So I was a vegan for about two years. 


This Holiday take some tips form these two beau’s and get in a good sweat, and be picky at the bbq to prevent any post BBQ Blues! Have a Happy and safe 4th of july!




Boxer Miguel Cotto Switches Trainers


Former three-division title holder Miguel Cotto has made some changes, first switching trainers and returning to the promoter that helped boost his career.

Cotto took to the Twittersphere by announcing his changes, saying:

“I will be back in the ring on Oct. 5 on HBO with Top Rank and [with trainer] Freddie Roach in my corner.”

The 32-year-old Cotto will start training with Freddie Roach at Wild Card Gym in Hollywood than his usual training spots in Puerto Rico and Florida. Cotto has also decided to part ways with his former trainer Pedro Diaz.

Cotto’s advisor Gaby Penagaricano has said that Cotto wanted to try something new since he is returning to the ring in October, and that also happened when searching for a new trainer.

He wanted to try a few well-known trainers, and wanted to start fresh, and once trying different trainers, he clicked very well with Freddie Roach.

Hayden Panettiere admitted to Women’s Health that she works out by taking the stairs. She always walks 12 flights of stairs, and we can admit that the stairs is giving that body a boost!

“Confessions of a Shopaholic” star Isla Fisher had lost 70 pounds doing yoga after her second pregnancy. Fisher told Fitness Mag: “When you’re really focused on your breathing, you’re able to clear your head, and all the worries of everyday life go out the window. I love that feeling of being connected with my own body.” We agree!

The famous Gwenyth Paltrow keeps fit by working out with the famed celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson five days a week for two hours, doing cardio and pilates. She is also an author of two nutrition books with her trainer. Way to go Gwen!

“Felicity” star Keri Russell does it the old school, normal way….Workout DVD’s! The busy mother of two doesn’t have time to hit the gym, instead she does a 20 minute toning routine from a workout video.

Jason Statham Risks His Health For New Role


Jason Statham is by far one of Hollywood’s hottest tough guys!

Although he may play a tough guy on the big screen, he may not be as tough as reports announce his recent diet regiment for an upcoming film could be risking his health.

Statham is allegedly only eating brown rice and spinach in order to stay in shape for his role in the new movie Heat.

A source told Daily Star Sunday that Statham is determined to be lean and mean and will not eat anything but these two ingredients.

Statham is also known as a fitness fanatic which is why he wants to keep in shape during filming, avoiding anything to jeopardize his shape.

We can agree that no matter what, Jason looks amazing!

Jason Derulo Dances Again, Covers YRB & Shares His Favorite Workout


A year ago, Jason Derulo probably didn’t think he would be able to dance again, never mind open up a performance on Dancing With The stars doing a headstand, but that’s exactly what he did.

Coming off of a tragic neck injury (a broken neck to be exact) Jason shows no signs of ever being hurt. Performing his new single “The otherside” on tonight’s episode of DWTS, and celebrating being on the cover of this months issue of YRB magazine, and having his beautiful girlfriend/singer Jordin Sparks by his side through it all, Jason Derulo is officially back, and ready to take on the world.

Shortly after shooting an incredible high energy performance for the world to see on DWTS, Jason headed over to Couture night club in Hollywood to promote his YRB magazine cover.

Many fans and friends were in attendance to support Derulo, including Dancing With The Stars champion Derek Hough.

Mingling amongst the crowd and smiling for the fans and their cameras at the event, Jason took a quick break to speak to us about his health and how he stays in shape.

When asked about what types of work outs he does, he said he switches up his workout everyday. He explained he works out about 2 hours a day, doing various types of exercises. He said there’s one type of workout specifically that he enjoys;

“I enjoy breakdancing as a good workout, because it focuses on big muscle groups, and I always do abs.”

When asked if he works out with his girlfriend Jordin Sparks, he said; Yes, definitely.

“We workout together. She does breakdancing with me, she’s actually getting pretty good at freezes. Watch out for her”

They say a couple that works out together, stays together. We are definitely happy to see Jason healthy, back at it with his music , all while still in love.
