[Workout] Get Beyonce’s VMA Body

Last night it was all eyes on Beyonce as she gave a once in a lifetime performance at the VMA’s followed up with being awarded with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award.

Bey killed the stage performing all of her hits from her latest album. While doing what she does best on stage, she was also getting a great workout in hitting all those sexy moves. By end of the performance, she was glistening with sweat, but even Beyonce can make that look good.

To have your own rendition of Beyonce’s VMA performance, while getting a body like hers too, try these moves below while listening to specific tracks from her album BEYONCE ;

 

Haunted; Planks – Nothing can haunt you more than this innocent looking little move. All tho you are in one still position, your core will be screaming for you to stop. This move is just what you need to do to obtain a Beyonce inspired flat tummy. Hold your plank for 1 minute.

Partition; Pelvic Thrusts – Time to get sexy, and start thrusting! Flip over from that plank on to your back and thrust away. Make sure to squeeze those glutes everytime you thrust upward. Do 3 sets of 30and you will feel the burn!

Blow; Diamond Push Ups – I love this upbeat song, but, kinda of like beyonce she even makes easy things look difficult. Diamond push ups are kind of the same. Place your hands into a diamond do 3 sets 10 diamond push ups.

Mine; Wall squats – Sit with your back against the wall in a seemingly imaginery chair. Make sure your legs create a 90 degree angle to ensure you are sitting low enough to get a good burn. Hold for 1 minute. To make it more challenging, lift one leg and hold for 30 seconds, then switch to the other.

No Angel; Burpees – Are said to have come from hell, so for this no angel workout it only made sense to throw in some burpees. To create a more challenging workout, add in a push up when you’re in the plank position of the burpee. Do 30 burpees straight!

Blue; Crunches – Hearing Beyonces baby on this track just makes me think of how many crunches she had to do to get her flat belly back. Attempt to do as many crunches you can do non stop for 1 minute straight!

Rocket; Pistol Squats – blast away stubborn jiggly legs with this move. One Legged pistol squats. If you can not balance on your own you can place your hand on a wall for some support.

Flawless ; Supermans – This move will give you a flawless back and butt. Lay on your stomach and stay lifted off the ground while rotating doing opposite arm and leg lifts making sure to squeeze those glutes 30 second rounds, for 3 sets.

Jealous; Squats – Nothing will make another more jealous than a nice booty, do 100 squats straight, and you will feel the burn. Make sure your weight is on your heels.

Drunk In Love; Half burpees – Take out the jump, and you have a half burpee. It’s still a hard little move to do. Do as many as you can for 1 minute straight.

XOXO; Stretch – Time to get that heart rate lowered with a good full body stretch for this one. Try some reaches, shoulder shrugs, leg extensions. etc.

Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals She Spends Less Than 45 Minutes In The Gym

Jada Pinkett Smith is one fit Momma! Pushing 43 years old, this celebrity mom can definitely  pass as a 25-year-old.  You would think with a body like that she spends hours in the gym but to our surprise, she says she is in and out of the gym in less than an hour!

I guess putting in the work in her earlier years has definitely helped her on the way. Growing up she says she was very athletic, playing sports. Jada weighs in on feeling strong and staying fit as she gets older with Shape magazine:

 

You know what? I don’t know if I feel stronger than ever, but I do feel better than ever. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that it’s about being physical every day. You don’t have to go to the gym if that’s not your thing. You can go outside your door and walk around your block. You can take a brisk walk, a light jog, a slow stroll if you want! I feel like, as I’ve gotten, I look better than ever and I work out less. I’m never in the gym for [more than] 45 minutes.

 

So what does Jada’s workout routine look like when she is in the gym? It looks like cardio in the morning and/or weight training in the evening. If you happen to catch Will Smith’s wife on a treadmill she’s most likely getting the most of her 45 minute session by doing sets of  sprint intervals. For her weight training regimen, she does a lot of weighted squats and lunges and for her upper body she does a lot of bicep curls, lateral pulldowns and rows.

If this is Jada’s secret to her anti-aging body, I think we all be running to the gym for a quick 45 minute session.

 

 

[Video] Michelle Obama To Release Hip Hop Album To Promote Her “Let’s Move!” Campaign

Who would have thought the First Lady would come out with a Hip Hop album? That’s right! But don’t get too excited, Mrs. Obama won’t be rapping on any tracks.

Although you will see her, along with her husband  President Obama making cameos in the videos, along with other famous singers and rappers.

The album is part of her “Let’s Move” campaign which she launched two years ago to help end child obesity in America.

Artists like Run DMC, Ashanti, Doug E. Fresh, Monifah, Ariana Grande, Travis Barker and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks are all contributing their vocal talents to the album, which is called “Songs for a Healthier America”.  Even America’s favorite doctor, Dr. OZ drops a couple bars with a healthy rhyme in the song called “Everybody” featuring Jordin Sparks. 

The album features tracks with names like “We Like Vegetables,” “Veggie Luv,” “Get Up Sit Up” and “U R What You Eat,” all designed to get kids thinking about health and diet. Ten music videos are set to be released with the album and will be distributed to schools in New York City, with other major cities to follow.

Jessica Simpson Is Ready To Get Married!

We all know Jessica is one of Weight Watchers biggest fans using it constantly. And with the amount of pictures she’s posting of herself on her Instagram, we know she is looking fabulous and feels very confident these days.

The famous singer and mom of two is doing everything she can to get ready for her big wedding day.  She has lost 50 pounds since having her second child after putting on a ton of weight.  Jessica’s personal trainer Harley Pasternak told US Weekly that she strength trains an hour a day three times a week and walks at least six miles a day.  Her favorite leg workouts include bench step-overs, single-leg dead lifts, and skater lunges.

When Jessica appeared on Good Morning America, she admitted that,

For breakfast, I’m an oatmeal girl. Lunch, I do bread, so I will have a sandwich.”

She also told USA Today that having kids is a workout on its own.

“With both kids, I’m running up and down my stairs a million times.  Kids can keep your metabolism going.”

Draya Run’s Her Team At LA’s The Color Run

The Happiest 5k on the planet took over Dodger stadium this weekend, with thousands in attendance to participate in the colorful 5k race. Somehow through the energetic crowd, and immense amount color smoke clouds, we spotted VH1’s Basketball Wives star Draya!

Draya isn’t usually known for being a sociallite on the fitness scene, but this 5k was the perfect place to make an appearance! If you happened to take a glance at her instagram page you can see why.

The former reality star posted fun pics of her drenched in color alongside her team of girls, naming her team after her swimsuit line “Mint SwimWear”.

Draya must know a thing or two about making fitness fun, because putting your firends and a fun race together makes the perfect recipe for making the most of burning calories. Check out her fun instagram pics and 5 reasons why the color run should be on your fitness to do list.

Naya Rivera and Big Sean are officially married!  After six months of being a couple, the hot pair announced the big news this evening to E! News, and boy are we excited.  Not that Naya is not gorgeous enough, but we cannot wait to see what she does in order to get ready for the big day!

Naya is an advocate of eating healthy and working out. She explained to Fitperez; ‘Legs and butt get the most attention in the Cheerios uniform, so those are my target areas. Lots of squats,’ she continued. Planks are another go to exercise for Naya. 

We will be looking forward to seeing how Naya will be prepping physically for her big day.

New contestant Christina Millian went to Twitter to announce that the time and effort she puts in Dancing With The Stars is starting to pay off.  The star tweeted,

“I’ve already lost 7lbs since I started #dwts! Owww!”

Christina follows many other contestants who have lost weight by joining the show.  When Marie Osmond first joined the popular show she lost 31 pounds.  By the time the show finished she lost a total of 47 pounds! Kelly Osborne lost a total of 20 pounds on the show, while Chaz Bono lost over 65 pounds.  Kirstie Alley takes the lead though claiming she lost 100 pounds!

Kim Kardashian Not Concerned With Post-Baby Body

o-PREGNANT-KIM-KARDASHIAN-570No one has seen Kim Kardashian’s post-baby body since she has giving birth to North West, and magazines and tabloids everywhere are just waiting to get the first glance.  Since the public is so concerned with Kim’s weight, you would think Kim would be just as concerned if not more.

E! ran into Kim’s personal trainer Tracy Anderson and asked how Kim was holding up and how she was trying to shed the baby weight she had gained during her pregnancy.  Even though Tracy has been helping Kim, she claims that it is not Kim’s priority.

“She’s just taking time with the baby.  She’s not concerned with working out or anything.”

Even though Kim has been out of the public eye, she has posted pictures on Instagram and videos on Keek, and she looks great!

How Model Nina Agdal Keeps Her Body Fit

Bebe’s new gorgeous face for their store Nina Agdal has shared her secrets to keeping a fabulous body.  Even though being 5’9 definitely helps, she still makes an effort to workout.  Especially being in the model industry, she has to keep up looking great.  At a launch party for Bebe’s new campaign in New York City, Nina shared with E! News,

“I do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio, spinning, and elliptical.  I also do weights after.”

Just like most celebrities out there including Kim Kardashian, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Sandra Bullock, Nina also does Barry’s Bootcamp.  She claims it,

“kicks your ass and you feel so good after an hour!”

Some last-minute advice about working out from Nina,

“It’s all about dedication and just going and doing it.”
